Dayna came to visit for a joint birthday celebration and "grown-ups" weekend.
I picked her up from the airport early Friday morning and after a bit of a nap from Dayna (who had a VERY early flight) we went up to Old Pearl Street for a bit of lunch and girl time.

Then we met up with Mike for a movie. We went to the relatively new theater in Greenwood Village to see Slumdog Millionaire. The movie was fabulous and the fact that the theater includes free popcorn and soda with your admission completely won us over.

I think Mike had 3 cherry cokes and 2 bags of popcorn - he always gets his money worth.

Saturday morning we made waffles for breakfast. Summit really wanted to be a part of the meal and watched every bite Dayna took from over her shoulder.

Then we went back to our old stomping grounds - Old Town Arvada, so Dayna could check out the mandolins at the Picking Store.

After some more shopping, we made a tri-birthday dinner for ourselves of shrimp, scallops, squash medley and ranch mashed potatoes. Our dinner was complete with non-child-proof candles :)

More to come...
