Maybe it's because there are no Christmas cookies baking in my kitchen (who needs all those baked goods just lying around the house when there's only two people to eat them and one of which is trying desperately to get back into shape). Or because there's no family around, or because I'm exhausted from working two jobs and freelancing in my *spare* time to try to continue to put away money despite this economy... I'm not sure.I do know that our loft is ready...
As is the fridge,
and I hope the Christmas spirit hits me soon.
Just remember the message of A Charlie Brown Christmas. It isn't about the decorations or presents or money or any of the things we are inundated with.
ReplyDeleteInstead, there is one thing that we always have in our hearts, that we are always blessed with. And that is what we celebrate on Christmas.
And there were in the same country shepherds, watching, and keeping the night-watches over their flock. And behold an Angel of the Lord stood by them, and the brightness of God shone round about them, and they feared with a great fear. And the Angel said to them:
Fear not: for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy, that shall be to all the people: For this day is born to you a Savior, who is Christ, the Lord, in the city of David. And this shall be a sign unto you: You shall find the infant wrapped in swaddling-clothes, and laid in a manger.
And suddenly there was with the Angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God, and saying:
Glory to God in the highest: and on earth, peace to men of good will.
