Courtney and Summit instantly bonded (and I'm sure it had nothing to do with the new squeaky toys Courtney brought her - a doughnut and a foot).
We went to the farmer's market and got a bunch of free stuff along with some really, really good lemon white chocolate bread. This was Summit's first trip to the farmer's market and she was a big hit!
The girls went for a hike. Our plan was to summit Chief Mountain.

Light showers rolled in while we were at the top so we decided to eat our lunch under the protection of a very nice tree.

Hike #2 was more then we planned for but we made it to the top and got to sign the register!
Green Mountain Summit 8,100 feet above sea level. We were 3,500 feet higher the day before but this hike kicked our butt more!
